February Update

Wednesday, February 14th, 2007

Hi everyone – just an update from here in NYC, where we still have not seen ANY snow this winter! I’m in full swing arranging lots of great stuff, and had the pleasure of hearing an arrangement of mine recorded, part by part, for the first time. I’ve done lots of arranging for groups I’ve sung in and gone on to record those arrangements, but back in the day when I was in college – we recorded everything at once (bad bad idea!) and it never truly did any arrangements, not just mine, any justice. I can tell you for many reasons why part-by-part, using a click track, is the ONLY way to go and will always save you time and money, but no time for a dissertation on that right now.

Many of you are asking what exactly I’ve been arranging lately, and here’s are some of my recent favorites:
“Your Ex-Lover Is Dead” by Stars
“Almost Had It All” by Dana Glover
“Goodnight and Go” by Imogen Heap (working on this as we speak)

That being said – the client roster continues to grow and I’m so thankful for all of you that have been giving me business! For those of you considering hiring me, I’m offering $50 off your first arrangement, so please poke around the site and let me know if you have any questions.

Lastly, have you been to any ICCA shows? If so, did you see my advertisement in the program? I hope so! My husband did the logo and I still have to get it up on the site for all in cyberspace to see.
