Audio – Samples
I pride myself on arrangements that can be reproduced in a live performance setting. If you’ve heard some of today’s a cappella CDs, you know that a lot of extremely talented singing and production goes into the project, and what you hear on the CD might not sound how the group performs the song in front of an audience. I can arrange for the recording aspect as well, such as utilizing more parts (doubling people up), or creating a bass line with the knowledge that it can be lowered an octave in mixing.
All of my arrangement samples below are as the group would perform this ‘live’, so it can be replicated by your group as is. The song was recorded with the entire group in the room at once, except for VP, soloist and a few parts, meaning the only mixing that was done was sweetening the overall sound and helping out the VP here and there. (Note: for recording on a CD I don’t recommend this, but rather record EACH part separately.)
